PNW Offshore report: the ride up from Illwaco to the mouth of the straight of Juan de Fuca was a great downwind leg with quite a few surfs, many whales (kind of terrifyingly close, really), a shark, and a few roundings in good company. The next part was a play of short tacks near the beautiful coast of the Olympic Peninsula (and a never ending drifter at the end). All in all, a 230NM sail full of varied landscapes. Thanks to JP we also repaired our boomkicker with a tea bag!
